MEGAN FATE
The inspiration behind the illustrated girl coined as “Megan Hearts” is the real life woman, Megan Fate. Megan has always displayed traits of a free spirit through her boundless energy and love for life. Megan is currently living her dream of pointing young people toward a hope bigger than themselves. She has spoken to thousands, encouraging each one to become fully enthralled with their unique purpose in life. Currently, she is working on a masters degree in Organizational Leadership and coaches the Women's Basketball team at Azusa Pacific Univeristy. She also spends her summers empowering students as ‘Spirit Girl,’ at Hume Lake Christian Camps

[what kimi says about megan]
Megan Fate is someone I admire and cherish! She is someone who models selflessness, acts with humility, pursues joy, and bleeds passion. She lives life to its fullest, loving adventure, learning from mistakes, and empowering others to pursue their dreams and goals. One night, during a high school youth event, I looked at my sister and said, “Wow! Megan lives a compelling life! She walks in confidence, never afraid to be herself! If more girls were like Megan, we’d have a different type of community here in Long Beach.” At that moment, I ran up to Megan and told her “I’m writing a book and you’re the main character.” Within an hour, I had the entire book series figured out….with a list of adventures I couldn’t wait for Megan to share with readers!.

KIMI Fate GROS
Kimberly Fate was born and raised in Long Beach, California. Through encouragement and inspiration from her parents, Kimi obtained her pilot license at 19, toured as a singer in a country trio at 20, organized and produced a benefit concert for the troops at 24, created/directed Imago Dei women’s conferences in her mid twenties while earning her masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and has now written a book at 28 (alongside her sister, Megan). Kimi desires to help instill confidence in young girls to pursue interests, hobbies, and passions that might broaden their horizons and allow them to live life to the fullest.

[what megan says about kimi]
My sister is the most creative person that I know. Her neverending list of talents and accomplishments only reveal a single sprinkle on the cupcake of Kimo Fate Gros' life. Just to name a few: she has a pilots liscence, was a professional country singer who toured all around the United States, has a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, single handedly managed, directed, and performed in a sold out concert to benefit and uplift the troops called "I Salute You," and rowed for a crew team and played soccer for UCI. What is extraordinarily unique about Kimi is her desire to use each and every gift she has toward the uplifting of everyone around her. She has developed a lifestyle of encouraging and enabling others to flourish. She has done that my whole life and here I am... 24 years old and believing in myself BECAUSE my sister has and will never stop believing.

Kathryn Fore
Kathryn Fore was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She attended the UC Irvine, where she graduated with degrees in English, Psychology & Social Behavior. In college she enjoyed studying theories of education and Renaissance literature, and spent five years tutoring students at her old high school. Kathryn feels that, just like Megan, she has had great mentors who have taught her to love learning, and to use her education to serve others. She hopes to continue serving through learning for the rest of her life..

Ying Xie
